BRAND DEVELOPMENT
Who are you?
Branding, like Sales is about building TRUST. A unified message is integral in that effort, but knowing what the heck your message is is the first step.
Your Value Proposition, to your Competencies, to your Brand Promise, and the 6 other elements of the Brand Matrix must all be in sync or your message will be diluted and confusing. Bringing these 9 elements together in one compelling message is what I do best.
SALES & MARKETING
No longer two separate functions.
Because the digital experience owns most of the Sales Funnel these days, Marketing has to sell, and Sellers have to market. Treating these two disciplines as a whole enhances the Buyer's Journey and supercharges the effectiveness of both.
The days of separate Sales and Marketing departments bickering at each other are over. Mapping your Buyer's Journey means integrating the efforts of both, centering it on the consumer, and delivering the benefit that can change people's lives.
STORE DESIGN
Getting more with less.
It's more than just Traffic Flows, Power Walls, and Signage today, it's about selling. And selling means building TRUST.
The Retail Store is no longer the beginning of the buyer's journey, today the customer does most of that online. To close sales, Customer-Centric stores will be about the human touch, the real connection after a barrage of online information. Experiential Retail is about EXPERIENCE, so give it to them.
RESTAURANT CONCEPTS
Bringing Fun Together with Quick Service
CLINT'S
I bought a wholesale cookie manufacturer in Breckenridge, Colorado in 1994, 'Clint's Cookies' on Main St. I gutted it put a fun Espresso Bar upstairs, and an exhibition bakery in the lower level.
BLUEBERRY'S
Blueberry's became Littleton Colorado's Old Town favorite almost from the time we opened the front door. A fun Breakfast QSR, you could order, pay, and get your food in less than 4 minutes.
DUCK SOUP
By far my favorite concept, Duck Soup created customizable soups to order. Yes, customizable, and amazingly delicious, and most soups could be made vegan or vegetarian.
COOL RIVER COFFEE
In my final year in Breckenridge, I walked into an opportunity with my bagel supplier. I redesigned the retail frontage into a cute Bakery/Cafe concept and netted $90k my first year, and I sold the concept after 12 months for $90k. The business is still in operation.
BITES
I was hired to design a concept around an existing name and property. I designed the full service bar and restaurant from scratch, incorporating a partnership with the City of Englewood. We did this one on a budget, and the finished product was eye catching and fun.
MUGSHOTS
I left Los Angeles and my corporate career in 1993 to open a coffee shop in the ski resorts of Colorado. This was my start. It's a fun look back.
RETAIL DESIGN
The End of the Sales Funnel
So we get it. The sales funnel has been completely up ended. Awareness, Interest, Consideration, even a large part, if not all of the Evaluation phase is now handled by your online presence. So what's left?
The Purchase! ( and some evaluation in most situations ).
That's why immersive, interactive, and engaging Store Design now becomes more important than ever in building TRUST and capturing the sale.
